Airplay only works directly after reset for D-2
My Drumfire D-2 has some issues with Airplay:
- Casting Spotify from iPhone via Airplay gives no sound. The speaker turns on, Spotify shows songs playing, I can change the volume; there's just no output (Spotify connect works fine).
- Casting through the sound menu, e.g., on a MacBook, gives no sound. Again, there's no error being shown, just no output.
Interestingly, Airplay works fine in other cases:
- Casting from iPhone via Apple Music & Airplay seems fine.
- Casting from a MacBook via the share button in, e.g., a YouTube video works fine.
So I was never sure if it's a problem on the sender or receiver side, worked my way around these limitations.
However, it turns out that these issues disappear right after reseting the D-2.
So it has to be an issue with the speaker!?
Once the AudioPro is turned off for a while, it goes back to working only in some cases…
I want to buy a second D-2 for stereo sound, but I'd really appreciate these issues being worked out first.

Update: I contacted Audio Pro's support, and they were very quick to acknowledge the problem with Spotify, arguing it's related to Spotify using AirPlay 1 instead of AirPlay 2.
Could be true, because my C5, which only got AirPlay 1 works just fine…They're promising a workaround to be released soon, so I'm looking forward to that (and will add a new comment once it works…).
